Maurice Rackey Obituary
Maurice Henry Rackey (Age 92)
Of Waldorf, Maryland died on October 24, 2022. A Veteran of United States Army, and later worked as a carpenter for GSA and eventually the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Maurice involved with the American Legion (Post 82), the Moose Lodge, the American Red Cross, and his beloved Masonic Lodges, Camp Springs Lodge (No. 227), the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, an Honorary Member of the Centennial Lodge (No. 174), St. Columba Lodge (No. 66), Oxon Hill Lodge (No. 231), and Seat Pleasant Lodge (No. 218). Husband of the late Joan Rackey; father of Michael Rackey (Regan) and Kathleen Rackey; grandfather of Shelby Rackey Pegg (Joey), Danyele Rackey Doughty, Amanda Caparaz (Jeremy), and Caitlyn Rackey; great grandfather of Reece Doughty and one on the way; his siblings Henry Rackey and sister Evelyn Milligan. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Masonic Service at 12:30 p.m. at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment to follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Maurice's honor to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org
