I was talking to a friend about almost two years ago and we were looking over moments in my life and one of the questions she asked was "If you can name one person on the Earth that no matter what undoubtedly you could say loved you who would that be ?"I began to Cry but I said. My Grandma Tait because I know she did all she could to raise my sister and I to the best of her ability from her boiled egg and grits or maybe even some toast with "I can't believe it's not butter " on it . To her freshly made cabbage or collard greens that I used to walk to Murray's to get and if that wasn't enough her sweet potato pies that i would tear up all yhe way to the buttery crust .The reason I know she loved me undoubtedly is because anything I needed was always provided And that she didn't want to move on to enjoy her glory years of life so she could be the close link to us after mom died and we appreciated hanging with her watching wheel of fortune and going up and down every aile of the store and then to church every Sunday where she wore her favorite perfume diamonds by elizibeth taylor her Sunday best then her accesories and sometimes her badest Sunday hat and I can see her now sitting on the second pew breaking out in song #we have come this far by faith leaning on The Lord ..
Grandma most of all I appreciated your loyalty and how you showed Gods love of what family really is. ".Today I give my final kiss , hug and wave to you I'm honored to have your name as my middle name in which you will always rest in the middle of my body my Heart . May your Glory days be filled with nothing But joy and Happiness. Tell mommy and Grandad I said hello and that I can't wait to see them too ... Remember that dance you used to do with your shoulder and we would say aww "Stella got her groove back" we'll now I know your grooving with God . Love you always Auriel

My Love, Prayers, and Condolences to Linda Tait Randall and The Tait Family in the Homegoing of Mother Maxine Tait !!! I recall, Years ago, while waiting for the doors of Little Rock to open for Prayer Meeting; A storm arose with heavy rain.!!! As I took shelter under the steps, She insisted I come into her home instead !!! Her heart was filled with so much love, hospitality and fellowship !!! I shall never forget it !!! May you be Comforted in knowing: To be absent from the body , is to be Present with The Lord !!!"

I met "Aunt Max" through my dear friend and co-worker Sheila Wilson. Aunt Max always made me feel like a member of her family whenever I was around her. I enjoyed the conversations I had with her over the years. It was truly a pleasure to know her. I know her unfailing faith in the Lord has placed her by his side and she is now wrapped in his arms. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very sad time.

Momma Tait was a mother/grandmother to all . . . Such a sweet spirit! She will surely be missed by all. I didn't have many years with her, but she made a lasting impression and embraced me as family. I love her like my own. Angels in heaven are rejoicing.

Mom Tait was a true woman of God and an example to us coming up in the Faith Bible church. Her home was always open to all and I was like a daughter to her and was made a part of the family. I never heard her said unkind words about anyone. Her life spoke for her and her living certainly was not in vain. I pray strength for all the survivors. The family can be so proud that your mom lived and showed you the example of how to live for God. Continue in her example and experience the great things God has in store and we living for Christ will see her again.

Aunt Maxine, I will truly miss you and all of our quality time we spent together. You knew it only took a telephone call for me to drop whatever I was doing to take off from my job to travel with you wherever you wanted to go, from North Carolina to the “Camp Meets” to Garden Grove, California to the Crystal Cathedral, where we experienced the biggest and only earthquake that I want to be in. I know now that you will truly find peace and eternal happiness as you unite with your heavenly father Jesus Christ, your husband Uncle James, your son Bill and daughter Sharon wait to greet you at the gate of heaven. Love from Niece Sheila Wilson and Family. (Burtonsville, MD)

I grew up with Mother Tait being a grandmother figure to me. I thank you for all the love and kindness you showed me. I have great memories of visiting the house on E street. You will be missed and loved forever. Until I see you again
