Melissa Wicks Obituary
Rooted in faith, she actively served in church ministries and was a beloved member of First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro, where she welcomed others with grace and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her husband James T. Wicks, parents Nellie and Tinsley Thomas Sr., and siblings Mary Turner, Tinsley Jr., and Phyllis Osman. Melissa is survived by daughters Heather Wicks and Keona Franklin; grandchildren Kamya, Kyri, Kalen, and Kaliah; siblings Arthur Thomas (Esteline), Jane Carr (Dale), and Doris Thomas; and many cherished relatives and friends.
Visitation: Sunday, November 16, 2025, 2 to 6 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, MD
Funeral Service: Monday, November 17, 2025, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro
Interment: National Harmony Memorial Park, Hyattsville, MD
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in her memory.
