Michael Gleason Obituary
Michael Everett Gleason (Age 76)
Michael Everett Gleason of Williamsburg, VA, formerly of Vienna, VA, passed suddenly on April 20, 2023. Mike was the son of Paul E. and Martha B. Gleason of Arlington, VA, where he graduated from Yorktown High School in 1965. He attended Virginia Tech and was a member of E Company in the Corps of Cadets. Mike also was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corps reserves. For 50 years Mike was a copier and information system sales representative with Royal, Xerox, Metaphor Computer Systems and Sun Microsystems. He was also a successful commercial real estate broker in the Tysons Corner area. A dedicated coach of youth sports for both girls and boys in Vienna, Mike also spent many years as an Assistant Wrestling Coach for Marshall High School and John L. Lewis High School. He is survived by his wife Pat, son Mark, daughter Emily Kangha (George) and grandson Michael Patrick Kangha. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA. Celebration of Life services will be Wednesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 1125 Savile Lane, McLean, VA. The service will be live streamed at www.ipcmclean.org. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Rock Creek Cemetery, 100 Allison Street, NW, Washington, DC. Donations in Mike's memory can be made to United States Wrestling Foundation, http://go.uswrestlingfoundation.com/Mike-Gleason or to the Heritage Humane Society, Williamsburg, VA, www.heritagehumane.org.
