On September 27, 2018. He is survived by loving wife, Teri Jackson-Hicks; a host of brothers and sisters, sister-in-law, other relatives and friends. The family welcomes you to visit at 11 a.m., Service to follow at 12 Noon on Friday, October 5, 2018 at First AME Church of Manassas, 10313 S. Grant Ave., Manassas, VA 20110. Rev. Dr. Henry White, officiating. Interment at Woodbine Cemetery, 12914 Canova Dr., Manassas, VA 20109. Arrangements by Ames Funeral Home, Inc.

I'm sorry Teri I'm signing so late. I unfortunately have been dealing with a bit of a health issue myself lately and I haven't been on FB so I wasn't aware of what happened until Dave told me. And I was shocked! Mike was like a brother to me and I will miss him so much and you have my love and Condolences for you and your family at this time and may he RIP!

I was saddened to hear about Mike's passing. He was a wonderful man and co-worker. He will be missed greatly. Such a tragic loss! Big shoes that will never be filled. Please accept my deepest and profound sympathy. God bless you.

Teri, I was shocked to hear about Mike. Even though I cannot be there in person to pay my respects to both of you, I just want you to know that you're in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Mike I just heard your voice a couple weeks ago and just like that God had other plans for you. I just wanna say Thank You for all your words of wisdom. I remember being a kid and you always passing down knowledge and wisdom as I'm sure you did everyone. I truly believe you will rest eternally in peace because how great of a man you were. This one is a little rough and I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to connect before you left.
