Michael Marcey Obituary
Born in Arlington, VA, on February 18, 1963, he died suddenly in Atlanta, GA, on August 10, 2003, leaving hehind his wife, Catherine Cullom Marcey and beloved dog, Beauregard. Michael was a loving husband, a devoted family member, a leader in his community and an avid sports fan. He was president of the Braves 400 Club and continued to serve on the board of directors. He was also a leader in the business community, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer of D.J. Miller & Associates. Even more than his significant professional accomplishments, Michael is remembered for his cheerful personality, sharp sense of humor and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. Those who had the privilege to know him also had the opportunity to experience his quick wit and his sincere caring. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard Marcey Sr. and is survived by his wife, Catherine; his mother, Anne Souder; this two sisters, Sue White and Karen Marcey; his two brothers, Richard Marcey Jr. and Robert Marcey, numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held in Atlanta GA. Interment Saturday, August 16, in Wilmington, DE. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Michael's name to The Miracle League, P.O. Box 80724, Conyers, GA 30013 Attn. Gary Garner. Arrangements by H.M. I went to school with Mike. He never get all his hardship with the multiple pains he endured let him waiver in his outlook. He was a big Atlanta fan when I knew him over at Southern Towers. Glad he found some happiness along the way!

We were so saddened to hear of Michaels passing, we are members of the Braves 400 club and very fortunate to have spent time with Michael on a couple of trips to spring training.
His passion for the game and in helping others was inspiring.

Michael was truly a gift from God to all of us who knew him. I met Michael through the Braves 400 Club. I don't think he ever met a stranger. All of us are better people for knowing him.

He was a Falcons fan also, because he was a member of the Falcons BirdWatchers. Fan club to the Atlanta Falcons,he will be missed at the games. But he will be at all the games.He is a really nice person and will be missed by all the members.

Michael was a wonderfully kind and fun person to know; he will be sorely missed. Al and I had the pleasure of going on many over-the-road trips with him and the 400 club.
