MICHAEL J. McGUIRE  
On Saturday, September 15, 2018, Michael J. McGuire of Alexandria, VA, died after a brief illness at the age of 63. Michael was the oldest son of the late Joseph and Margaret McGuire. He is survived by his sister, Patricia McGuire of Alexandria, VA, his brother, Thomas (Karen) McGuire of Crofton, MD, and three nephews, (Nathan, Matthew and Benjamin McGuire). Michael was a special needs person who will be remembered for his gentle nature. He took great pride in his role as the "Candle Master" for the votive candles at his parish church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4401 Sano Street, Alexandria, VA on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. The visitation period will start at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Poor Sisters of St. Joseph, 4319 Sano Street, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Patty
I feel for your families loss. I did not know Michael well and only meet with him a few times over the years. He had made a lasting impression on me. Each time I had seen hime he was happy. I do think of him from time to time and that is what I think of.
