Myself and others called him "Mike-ee." I met Mike-ee years ago when Doug, Guy, Bill, and others lived in Glenmont, MD. I also purchased my first pair of Frye boots from Mike-ee at the Hahns Shoe Store. He was a great salesman, and was very driven and a hard working person. He was a wonderful person to know. He was always upbeat, happy, and always on the go. He loved playing pool with the boys and the boys always loved having him around as I did.
We experienced so many good times with all of us.
Mike-ee was talented in everything he pursued and would always set a good example.
Mike-ee's wonderful personality and humor touched everyone he knew. He was a great friend and a joy to be around.
God Bless his children, his family, his friends, his colleagues, and to all that knew him. He was a very special person.
We love you Mike-ee and will miss you every day.
Love,
Barbara B.

So sad to hear about Mike's passing. So unexpected. Just saw him showing a house in my neighborhood over Presidents' Day weekend. Lots of good memories with his sons and our sons in Scouts. Our deepest sympathy to his entire family.

To the Ricciardella family. I am saddened to hear of Michael's passing. He spent so many years with me as a classmate at SCL. He was one of my favorite boys who made me laugh myself silly in the 8th grade. Michael, not Mike, as we were formal in our school, was a great friend to all of us. In his memory I lit a candle for him after Mass at St. Mary's in Barnesville, MD. I also bought a beautiful wood carving of St. Michael made in Bethlehem reminding me of your Michael's faith and gladness in our Lord. Bless his soul and bless his family.

It's been more than 30 years since my Hahn's Shoes days, but I can't think of all of the fun memories working for that great retain chain without thinking of all the times with four of the Ricciardella boys -- Danny, Joey, Vinny and, of course, big brother Mike. Those were the days! Keeping all of you in prayers at this difficult time.

I will remember Mike as the unofficial "Mayor of Olney" - always took the time to say hello, share a smile, a story, or a joke & ready to lend a hand (or his van!) to anyone in need - he will be missed by many in our community. My condolences & prayers to his family...

You were a friend to all who knew you. I only wish we had gotten together one more time for a golf outing. Save me a seat on the rail, Mike. My deepest sympathies go out to Mike's family, loved ones, and friends. He is one of the good guys!
