Mike was my Team OIC at school. He was an all-around great guy and always put his Marines before himself. I always looked at him as an example to live up too. I miss him.

Words cannot express my sadness when I heard Michael's name during mass at St. Charles this morning. Michael was truly a wonderful student and I'm sure that he grew into an amazing young man. I will always treasure his memory.
Much love to his family, especially Meta and Maud from Michael's 6th grade teacher.

I never met Mike, but we have a mutual friend. I can tell by the pain in that friend's voice that the world has lost a truly amazing person. Sending all the love and support one could possibly muster to Mike's family and friends as they walk this difficult road forward. "To live in hears we leave behind, is not to die." May Mike be at rest and at peace. Semper Fidelis.

From the entire Johnson family , our hearts go out to the entire Tomai family.
I met Mike Easter 2008 and jogged along the Potomac with him and cousin Tom, my dear friend.
I was so impressed with him and his life experience and his service. He had a warmth and smile that I will not forget.

Amber and family - I am heart broken when I heard about Mike. He was an officer and a gentleman in every sense. I wish that I could offer you some type of words or actions that would ease your pain. Amber, I hope that it provides you with some type of consolation...you provided Mike with the most wonderful gift of all ...true love. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
