Minnie and Israel Segel, devoted to each other in marriage for 63 wonderful years, died on September 9, 2007 in Delray Beach, FL
Minnie and Israel started out their life together in Baltimore, MD, and then moved to Chevy Chase, MD, where they raised their family. Minnie was a homemaker and Israel was a real estate broker in the Washington, DC area. He also served in WW II and was past Master of the Osiris Masonic Lodge. They retired from Chevy Chase and realized their life long dream of living in Huntington Point, Delray Beach, FL.
Mr. and Mrs. Israel Segel are survived by their four children, Eric W. Segel (Julie) of Rockville, MD, and Barry P. Segel (Sheryl) of Silver Spring, MD; five grandchildren, Alicia Gottesman, Noah Gottesman, Scott Segel, Anna Berkeley, and Jared Segel and one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Meyer Levin.
Funeral services and internment will be held at Judean Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Olney, MD, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at 12:30 p.m. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy in Mr. and Mrs. Israel Segel's memory be made to either the National Parkinsons Foundation or the American Heart Association. Shiva will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at sundown and Wednesday morning, September 12, 2007, at the home of Julie and Eric Segel, Rockville, MD.

Dear Eric, Julie and family,
Richard, Steven, Melva and I send our deepest condolences to you and your entire family on the death of your parents. We remember the happy times that Melva and Irv had with your parents in Huntington Point and how we enjoyed visiting with them as well when we were in Florida.
