To the Mills family-
I am just now seeing this sad and unfortunate news. I worked directly for your father (and the senior partner) back in the late 70´s/early 80´s in a thoracic/cardiovascular/broncho-esophagology group of 5 surgeons in Washington, D.C. What I remember most about him was his calm and gentle demeanor and his amazing knowledge as a practitioner in general and skill as a surgeon in his field. He was able to quickly assess and diagnose me when I felt ill at work and immediately told me "go home" ....subsequently finding that I had strep throat. He was instrumental in the reason why I became a Registered Nurse. Working with and for him in the office was a privilege, but I always wanted to know what he did outside of the office and asked him if I could observe him in surgery. He allowed both myself and an LPN I worked with there to observe him performing an open heart procedure in the observation deck at George Washington University Hospital. I will never forget it for as long as I live. What a wonderful mentor he must have been for his children too. God love you all, and my heartfelt sympathy to the entire family and those who had the privilege of knowing this great man.

Dear Mills Family,
I got to know your mother and father during my time with the PFNCA. They were great people and I enjoyed working with your father as an unofficial member of the governing body of PFNCA before they had an official board. Mitch was a great advocate for the Parkinsonian and the caregiver.
I am sorry for your loss.
