I met Nancy when I was just 19 years old, and a new Mommy,Now I am 48 years old. Nancy was my neighbor and when she saw me for the first time carrying my baby boy she just latched her sweet heart onto his... and to mine! Being 9 years older than I she was a young mother of two pre-teens, Donna, and Steven, and such a good Mother! Nancy taught me how to drive, she was fearless and generous, she literally took care of me when I was ill and had to have surgery, and took care of my son. She was both like a big sister and mother to me and we shared so many dreams and secrets together and had unmeasurable laughter over the years. We were the best of friends! We were there for eachother and cried together with our sorrows, and broken hearts, her hurts were mine and mine were hers. How do you measure friendship? Rarely do you meet someone who you can trust with all of your heart and never have that trust betrayed. She was that friend. Nancy was a lover of God and through all of her heartbreaks and sorrows in life - and there were so many - her faith in Jesus never faltered! She knew some day she would be rewarded for her life here on earth.

Nancy, my sweetest most beautiful friend, You filled my life with hope, laughter and joy, You left me one last message on my voice mail just 5 days ago, you said you were sick, and you loved me and you would see me soon. Instead you were ushered up to heaven. You were the joy of my life and are enjoying your well deserved peace and reward. Rest in Peace my precious friend, I will see you there some day. Until then I will truely miss you! Love, Raphia
