To the family of Nat Semple,
Because I was out of town on the day of Nat's memorial service, I was unable to attend, but certainly would have if it had been at all possible. I have never met Nat's family but I have wonderful memories of his wit, intelligence, and kindness to me when we worked together to organize a Kellogg Foundation event in Washington, D.C. many years ago. Though my contacts with Nat were infrequent and very much in the past, he will always be remembered as one of the most delightful business colleagues I have ever had. My deepest sympathies to his entire family.

My sympathies to Pat, Nat Jr and Carter, and the rest of the family. Nat was a charmer - funny, witty and loving. I always appreciated his words of wisdom during my visits to Washington in the late 1990s during the allocation debates. He was a true patriot and a loving family man. I will remember him always.
