NICHOLAS WRIGHT Obituary
Nicholas J. Wright
Nicholas James Wright, 20, of Leesburg, VA passed away June 20, 2015. A 2013 graduate of Heritage High School, he had just completed his 2nd year at the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Pamela Wright; sister, Chelsea; "brother", Thomas; grandparents, Doris and Grant Parham and Clint and Nancy Appleby; and a great grandmother. Time of visitation are 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home, Leesburg, VA. Services will take place Tuesday, July 7, 2015 starting at 11 a.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church, Ashburn, VA. Please see www.colonialfuneralhome.com for donation requests and full obituary.

I never knew Nicholas, but my son was at West Point and we all felt the impact of his loss! My dearest friends in Leesburg, VA lost their 26 year old son to a Mental Health crisis in 2017. The road has been rough, but the support from amazing organizations, started by loving parents and friends like you, has been a blessing g to so many! Today I honor your Nicholas as he continues to take his rest. Comfort and peace to your entire family and community.

I believe I only met Nick once - at William & Mary's homecoming in 2008. He was somewhat shy, and quiet and low-key like his parents, but he also reflected their warmth and gentleness. I know his parents loved him deeply and were so very proud of him. I'm thinking of Pam and Bobby today, as well as Chelsea and Thomas and everyone else whose lives Nick touched and to whom he meant so much. The hole in your hearts will heal in time, but there will always be a hole. Fill it with love and fond memories of the beautiful young man who left the earth too soon.

We only had one opportunity to meet Nick briefly one day last Fall when the Wright Family was loading their car in their driveway for a road trip to DC to watch a Redskins game. We happened to be walking down their street at the same time and stopped to visit for a few minutes. What a cute scene with Bobby, Pam, Chelsea, Thomas and Nick all dressed in Redskins shirts/colors excited to hit the road for a day of family fun rooting for their beloved Redskins. What a close knit, fun, loving family. We remember Nick as being a polite, very handsome guy with a beautiful smile. Such a tragic, sad loss. Our hearts go out to this wonderful family. We send you many loving thoughts and prayers for strength and peace at this most devastating time in your lives.
