I think of my first cousin Norman every day and wonder why such an accomplished man was taken from us much too young. From his childhood home in Newton, Mass where we played Superman and Mighty Mouse to Virginia where he became a renown doctor and healer of many I never lost sight of his brilliance and his contribution to healing making better the lives he touched. I will miss him always.

Dr Marcus was a brilliant and caring surgeon who provided me with excellent treatment and always was available to answer questions. I am saddened and stunned by his passing and offer my deepest condolences and heartfelt wishes for long life to his family.

My sincere condolences to his family. I was one of Dr. Marcus’ first patients in Springfield VA. He reconstructed my torn ACL and through his skill, the knee has served me well. I remember clearly his stern talk with me saying he would not repair it unless I agreed to do a year of physical therapy. A brilliant surgeon.

Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Norman’s passing. Norman was a friend, and doctor to my family for 35 years. He was always so positive, physical and mentally energetic and mostly so proud of his family. It is such a great loss that he should pass so young. Wishing that you will be surrounded by loving memories of him and the love of friends and family.

I was both saddened and shocked to hear of Norm's passing. I worked with him from 1984 until 2000. He had just started his practice and I was fresh out of X-ray school. I have many fond memories. I last communicated with him in 2018 and he sounded so happy. My condolences to all and especially to Adam and Ali. May he rest in peace.

I have known Norm and his (predeceased) wife Bonnie since 1975, when he was a second year medical student at Stanford. They became immediate best of friends and after Bonnie passed away in 2012, Norm and I continued with a very close and special friendship. I had the privilege and joy of watching their two children Adam and Ali grow into incredible and wonderful adults. While I have not met Heidi and her three children, the entire family is in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

I am so saddened to learn of the passing of my first cousin, Norman Marcus. If there was ever a person whom I thought would not be struck down early in his life it is he. He was so strong in body and mind that the contemplation of his passing so soon was difficult to imagine. I will miss him immeasurably as we shared so many things. He was a gateway to my childhood where we spent hours in the 1950's playing Superman and Mighty Mouse. He was a fountain of information in my adult years on just about everything of consequence to me. Most importantly to me I will miss discussing things political where we shared a similar progressive point of view always believing in science to see truth. Norman was my brilliant cousin who knew so much about so much and whose advice I sought. I will miss him more than I can say and know his memory will be a blessing to his family and friends.
