WALLACE OLIVER FARRAND WALLACE, PE NC A&T State University - Class of '93 On Friday, February 27, 2009. Beloved husband of Ruth A. Carter Wallace; loving father of daughters, Quay Wallace Watkins, Esq. and Ressie Wallace Wilson; grandfather of Olivia and Frankie Watkins; father-in-law of Dr. Frank B. Watkins and Yettekov Wilson, Jr.; brother of Calvin P. Wallace, Sr. and Mary Dale. Also survived by many other relatives and friends, including his 30th Street neighbors. Viewing Friday, March 6 at Metropolitan AME Church, 1518 M St., NW, from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. Interment Quantico National Cemetery, Monday, March 16, 2009 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Oliver Wallace's honor to NC A&T State University, College of Engineering, 1601 E. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27411. Services by McGUIRE.

To Ruth, Quay and Ressie - I just saw Oliver's death notice in the Washington Post online. I am so sorry for your loss. Oliver was truly a gentleman and one of a kind. He had so many accomplishments. My mother was so fond of all of you. My deepest sympathy to you Ruth and your entire family.

Ruth & Family,
May GOD be with you in your time of grief and loss. I loved exercising and talking with 'Ollie" so much. He kept me laughing. He will be sorely missed at Hattie Holmes. I pray for his peace and the repose of his soul.

To the Wallace family you have my sincere sympathy for the loss of your love one. He was always smiling when he came to the Hattie Holmes Wellness center, he was so pleased to see everyone and just a joy to greet him. We will miss him. I hope that fond memories of his life bring you peace.

Dear Ruth and Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy at the passing of your beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend.
I remember the chats that you and I used to have about Oliver and your children and grandchildren and how proud you are of all of them. I pray that these cherished memories of your beloved will give you strength during this your time of sorrow and in the days to come.
