Monique, thank you again for giving us 1 more year with Dad. Without you, we would not have had that time.

Mom, thank you for your un-waivering devotion to Dad. Your love for him was obvious. Please know that you made his last night with us peaceful, as he was never more comfortable anywhere than lying next to you.

To my sisters, their husbands and the kids, THANK YOU. Seeing all of you was what made Dad want to live. His face would light up when the kids came in, and his pain would ease when you visited. Never, never forget the glow you gave him!

Samir, Sabri and Mona, your loss is as painful as ours. Thank you for not missing him too much when he moved away, and for accepting us into your family. Having the FARAH name is an honor and a privilidge.

Dad tried as hard as he could to live for us, and left us at home, in his bed, surrounded by the people and things that mattered to him most. Never, never forget that.

You are my family, and I will always love and support you.

Dad, I miss you and I love you!

Dear Neighbors,

I am so sorry to hear about Dad. I had such hopes once I heard he was able to come home. My mom kept me up to date. As you know, I lost my dad 4 years ago. I know it is not easy but you have to remember and cherish the good times. I am sorry I can't be there but if I can do anything please let me know. Your mom is very special to us and she was there when my dad passed.

P.S. I still remember when I plucked my eyebrows for the first time. I went over to your house and your dad couldn't get over what a difference it made so he took a picture so I could see the new me. Love you all,

Lilia Medina

Dear DeeDee,

I know the pain you are feeling, having lost both of my parents. There will be an emptiness that will ease somewhat over time, but never go away.

You are in my prayers.

Fondly,
