Pamela Carson Obituary

7/11/1960 - 10/25/2024
A beloved mother, sibling, and friend, Pamela passed peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Norfolk, VA, with both her daughters, Amber and Ashia, by her side. She was born on July 11, 1960, in Washington, DC, to Juanita (Tildon) and Eugene Smith.

She graduated from H.D. Woodson High School in Washington, DC, and attended the University of Maryland and Tidewater Community College. After over 25 years in corporate America in the DC Metro area, she relocated to the Hampton Roads area, where she enjoyed walks on the beach, volunteering for Operation Blessing, the Salvation Army, and the Union Mission, and participating at the local JenCare Senior Center.

She is also survived by siblings Terri C. Braxton, James Carson III, Gloria Pope, Deborah Hawkins, Aunt Eva Tildon, and other relatives and friends.

Per Pamela's wishes, a private memorial service will be held. Given her lifelong love of greeting and holiday cards, we invite you to share your thoughts and memories of her via cards in lieu of flowers to Amber at 19309 Winmeade Ct., #206, Leesburg, VA, 20176.

May she rest easy in the arms of the Lord.

Pam and I grew up together since we were in the first grade at Smothers until we graduates from HD Woodson. I would speak to her often. She was a loving and caring person. Condolences to her daughters and her family. May she rest in peace.

Pamela was a collector of photos and cards; she loved long walks on the beach outside her home in Norfolk. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese and her million-dollar pies, which were all recipes she handed down to her daughters. She was a loving pet owner of Addison, a very spoiled pomeranian. Her daughters spoiled Pamela and Addison as much as they could.

I remember her high school days when she won first runner-up for Ms. H.D. Woodson, competing with the flu! She was an active member of their swim team, and she could roller skate like the coolest teens on the rink! Through the years, she singlehandedly raised two beautiful and productive daughters, Amber and Ashia. Job well done, Dear Sister!
