Patricia T. Harris

Patricia T. (Thompson) Harris, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and lifelong volunteer, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 94.
Born on December 11, 1930, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, to Clair Thompson and Thelma (Figley) Thompson, Patricia was raised with a deep love of learning and a curious spirit. She graduated from Wilson College in 1952, where she served as class president and formed lifelong friendships. Continuing her commitment to education, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy from George Washington University in 1985, reflecting her dedication to service and civic engagement. In 1954, she married Colonel William H. Harris (Ret.), and together they shared more than 50 years of marriage. Their military life together took them to Germany, across the United States and Latin America before settling in McLean, Virginia, in 1972. Colonel Harris preceded her in death in 2004.
Pat was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Comforter in Vienna and generously gave of her time to others, volunteering for many years at Pennywise Thrift Shop. Known for her warmth, refinement and thoughtfulness, she left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A lifelong reader, she treasured books as both a joy and a source of inspiration.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald H. Harris (Kathryn) and Wilson "Will" H. Harris (Kim); grandchildren Lauryn Dashiell (Brendon), Kelley Sanginiti (Chris), Christopher Harris (Taylor), and Claire Feijoo (Josh); and great-granddaughter Sloane Sanginiti.
Patricia will be remembered for her generosity, elegance and enduring spirit, but most of all for her grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W Maple Ave, Vienna VA, on Saturday, November 1 at 11 a.m., with a service to follow at 12 p.m.
