I was reading a column about librarians & I thought about the best librarian ever, Mrs. Petrie! I knew her from my days at Ravensworth Elementary & she sparked a lifelong love of books in me! Not only was she was kind & patient, but she opened the door to the world by inspiring kids to read! I wish I'd thought to look for her earlier, but I'm hoping she knew how very much she meant to so many of us who attended Ravensworth Elementary!

Pat, I will always remember you as a beautiful and sweet lady. You were a wonderful neighbor. Every time we met, you were smiling, and you would engage me in interesting conversation. I miss you, Pat. God bless you.
