PATRICIA SEILER Obituary
Patricia Ann Seiler (née Hanagan) (Age 77)
Died at home in Fairfax, VA, on June 13, 2021, two months after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William "Bill" J. Seiler Jr.; her three children, William "Billy" J. Seiler III, Michelle Gilles (Jeff) and Kathleen Neary (Sean); her five grandchildren, Ella, Patrick, Rory, Colin and Brendan; her brother, Jim Hanagan (Mary); and many more relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathi Hanagan. Pat grew up in Arlington and attended Blessed Sacrament School in Alexandria. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Alexandria and Dunbarton College in D.C. A fierce believer in fighting for social justice, Pat coordinated the parish social ministry at St. Mary of Sorrows Church in Fairfax for 12 years. Her compassion, kindness, love and faith touched many during her life. Visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA on June 22, 2021 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Sorrows Church, 10500 Zion Drive, Fairfax, VA on June 23 at 10:30 a.m., with interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Friends of Chimbote (www.friendsofchimbote.org/donate).

Pat Seiler was a lovely, gracious and thoughtful woman. She was very good to us, as she was with so many. She gave of herself and was the epitome of a good wife, mother, and friend. She will be missed, but her deeds and fine example will live on. Millie and John L. Garcia
