Patrick Conway Obituary

Conway

Patrick Morley Conway (Age 51)

Patrick Morley Conway of Chevy Chase, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Lindsay Remley Conway; father of Grayson, Charlie, and Morley Conway. Patrick was the son of the late Steven and Mary Jane Conway and is survived by his sisters Colleen Jones (Tom), Mary Beth Greene (Andrew), Stephanie McGill (John) and Nancy Quinn (RT). He was predeceased by his sisters, the late Kathleen Witts (Garry), and Suzanne Sullivan (Paul).

Patrick was raised in Potomac, MD and graduated from The Heights School, Georgetown Preparatory School, Georgetown University, and the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. After working in finance in New York City and Washington, DC for eleven years, Patrick co founded Lock7 Development in 2006 - a boutique real estate development firm, where he served as a principal for over 17 years. Patrick oversaw the rapid growth of a business that has developed numerous noted commercial projects, built homes for hundreds of people, supported countless employees and helped rejuvenate dozens of neighborhoods in Washington, DC and North Carolina.

Patrick was a man of faith, whose greatest love and central focus of his life has always been his family. Throughout his 23-year marriage to Lindsay, they inspired their children with their love, values and their motivation to live life fully. Each of his children has excelled in sports and academics, and at every stage they have been his greatest source of pride.

Grayson is a freshman and member of the rowing team at the University of Notre Dame, a school close to Patrick's heart; Charlie, a hockey player and golfer is following in Patrick's footsteps at Georgetown Prep; and Morley whose love of all sports and big personality closely mirror his dad's zest for life and caring compassion for his friends.

Patrick was an avid athlete and sports fan. He pursued marathon running, ice hockey, golf, skiing, and other sports with the same intensity he brought to building his business. Patrick's generous spirit and love of competition -and winning- was shared with the many he coached over the years on his children's soccer and ice hockey teams. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, at sporting events, on the golf course or hockey rink, and during the many family vacations and adventures he enjoyed.

Patrick's joyful spirit and love of life will live on in Lindsay, Grayson, Charlie, and Morley - and in the extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched. We will carry forward the lessons of love, dedication and living life to the fullest that Patrick so beautifully and consistently exemplified throughout his life.

Relatives and friends may call at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC, on Friday, September 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2 at 11 a.m. Interment private.

Memorial donations in Patrick's memory may be made to Catholic Charities, 924 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
