Patrick Culbert Obituary
CULBERT MSGT PATRICK R. CULBERT, SR. 1934-2008 On Sunday, July 13, 2008, at home in Upper Marlboro, MD of cancer. MSgt Culbert was born in Johannesburg, Africa, and was a former resident of Gwinn, MI, graduating from Gwinn HS in 1952. MSgt Culbert was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5670 and Disabled American Veteran‘s Chapter 17, Camp Springs, MD. He served in the Air Force for 20 years with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Among his many awards were the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Celia Ortiz Culbert; his sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick Jr and Melanie, Daniel and Dee; his grandchildren: Kristin, Justin and Melissa, Hannah, Jessica, Rachel and Daulton. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the St Joseph Center of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 11704 Duley Station Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD. Interment with Military honors at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2 p.m.
