PATRICK H. DRURY
LTJG Patrick Hunt Drury, 25, was killed in an automobile mishap on June 16, 2013 in York, AL. He was a passenger in the rear seat. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Bishop Ireton High School, Virginia Tech and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2011. He is survived by parents, Chip and Lois; and his sisters, Allison and Heather Drury. Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 5 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Naval Academy Chapel on Tuesday, September 24 at 11 a.m., with burial at Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to: www.fallenherosfund.org; www.woundedwarriorregiment.org; or www.woundedwarriorsproject.org

Very sad and heartbreaking to hear this devastating news about Patrick. He went to school with my son Jeremiah Martin at St. Mary's. I wish there was something I could say to help you feel better, but know first hand this is a personal process. Believe it or not, someday you will feel better. I feel you will never get over it, but in time will learn to accept his physical absence and cherish all of the wonderful memories you had with him for over twenty-five year! My heart breaks for Lois, Chip and family and for all of us who knew and loved Patrick. I will miss him forever.
May his life be an inspiration for us to love unselfishly, see joy in the moment and appreciate one another-like Patrick.
