PATSY JENKINS Obituary
PATSY LEE JENKINS
Patsy Lee Jenkins went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Ms. Jenkins is survived by her beloved daughter, Donna Arrendell; her grandchildren, Sherlita Boyd, Chad Arrendell (Hillary Arrendell), Ryan Arrendell and Amira Boyd; her great-granddaughter Mya Arrendell and great-grandson Calvin Arrendell; her sister, Amelia Jackson; her nieces Brenda Morris, Diane Walker, Joan Singletary; and her sisters-in-law Gail Headen (Bob Headen) and Renee Butler. On Friday, December 22, 2017, services will begin with visitation at 10 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church located at 4850 Blagden Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20011. Ms. Jenkin's homegoing service will begin at 12 noon, Reverend Dr. Keith W. Byrd will preside. The repass will immediately follow the funeral service in Zion's Fellowship Hall. Arrangements by J.B. Ms. Jenkins and my mother Joyce Dews worked together for years with the D.C. Public Schools System. She was always a classy, stylish lady. Donna, you and I were the first generation of their time. Now, your mother's legacy continues on through you, your children, your children's children ... All, treasure and savor your memories of her; they are yours to cherish forever. Peace & Blessings.

I, among others, consider Patsy a friend, but she was more than a friend. She was a kindred spirit She stood tall with her spirit and her belief.. She was a spirit disciple showing us (me) what it meant to be a follower and disciple of the Lord. We became friends in our new members class (she was one year after me). Patsy was a member of the DC Public School system- another commonality. We shared the Washingtonian sisterhood. And,we shared Wednesday noon day Bible Study. I did not get to tell Patsy all of this. WOW! I could go on and on. I will miss our endless conversations. But, we shall see each other again. God bless, guide, and protect her family.

Patsy was the best sister-in-law you could ask for. So considerate and generous, she would give her last. She had such a sweet spirit and she truly loved the Lord. I will truly miss her in many years to come. Patsy fought a good fight and received her wings. Sleep on my sister, we shall meet again.

Patsy was the most beautiful person I have ever met who love to dress and we call her Hollywood. She had a wonderful spirit and a beautiful smile!
