PHYLLIS MARIE DEMPSEY
On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, of Washington, DC. Beloved daughter of Ophelia Dempsey and the late James Dempsey, Sr.; loving mother of Donetta Dempsey; cherished grandmother of Portia, Dion, Matthew, D'Asia and Nickael; adored great-grandmother of Dior and loved sister of Bernard Curtis, James Dempsey (Kathy), Patricia Bunns, Jacquelyn Nalls (Clifford), Vickie Hall (William), Janet and Direese Dempsey. She is also survived by a devoted partner, David Blakney; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 29 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 5820 Dix St., NE. Professional services entrusted to DUNN & SONS FUNERAL HOME.

Phyllis will be forever loved and missed. She always a sweet girl at Evans Jr. High School, and whenever I would see her after we grew up. I always think about her and Jan Jan. Those were the good old days.
