Queen Makell Obituary

On Monday, May 20, 2024 at her home. She was the widow of Calvin S. Makell. She is survived by two sisters, Eloise Alexander and Arlene Grant-Gilmore; on brother, Anthony Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was employed at the American Chemical Company in Washington, DC for over 20 years. After retirement she went to work for the Mt. Vernon Estates Gift Shop. Services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Groveton Baptist Church, 6511 S. Richmond Highway, Alexandria, Virginia with visitation at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment in Snowden Cemetery.
