Ray, was one of a kind!
Helping others, smiling and joking!
There is so much to be said about Ray.
He was the most sweetest, down to earth, caring & loving person, just great to be around.
I called him "My Adopted Grandpa" & my Son, Niece & Nephew looked up to him as a Grandpa role. They grew up being around him when they were little, now all in their upper 20´s. My husband, a Veteran, would have great deep conversations with Ray that could go on for hours end. He was family to us and we shared many celebrations of all kinds, together with lots of laughter, morning brunches & enjoyable dinners!
My mom, being Ray´s next door neighbor since 1998 who loves gardening, would plant flowers for Ray & keep the area looking beautiful as well as keeping up the flower bed honoring Betty. They would chat outside & share many stories with laughter. My dad would walk over to have a cheers with Ray to chit chat.
My parents made sure Ray was always invited when he was around and check on him. Everyone loved his company dearly. Friends from near & far would ask us "how is Ray doing and holding up" they all cared for him so much!
He surly had fascinating stories from the past & fun caring ones of his loving family.
My son & I, the last time we stopped by will always cherish the joy he had when story telling & all the laughs that came with it, he gave great advice to our kids & would also sneak a few $ bills now and then that made him happy & got the kids excited
Dearest Ray, you will dearly & truly be missed by us All, RIP

Ray brightened a room with his generous smile and willingness to chat and meet new people. So sorry he has gone on to make even more friends in heaven and see his beloved Betty again. Will miss you.
