Rayful Edmond Obituary
Rayful was educated by his parents and the DC Public School System. He attended Hayes School, J. O. Wilson Elementary School, Julius West Hamilton Jr. High School and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. He briefly attended UDC College. He continued his college studies during his incarceration.
Rayful was an avid reader and spent many hours enjoying bible study. He conducted bible study every day. If you called and needed a prayer, he was there to provide.
He enjoyed playing all sports, especially basketball. He participated in many local tournaments, at the Girls and Boys Clubs. He recently learned to play golf. Rayful's exercise regime included running 12 miles daily. Rayful loved Facetime. He wanted to see everyone he conversed with. He loved to make jokes and laugh.
Upon being released from Federal Prison, Rayful gathered many family members together in support of his foundation for charity work. Many children were blessed this past Christmas from him. He refused to allow any of the gifts to have his name. He gave from the most important place, his heart. We are sure God got a good servant.

Wow! Still at a loss for words. Definitely gone too soon. It may have been ages since we've seen each other, but I've always considered you a friend and good fella. I remember the 1st time I bumped into you downtown at Beharrys Jewlers and you asked me what I knew about Beharrys and I showed you a few pieces I was having cleaned and you said, That's cute, but pick something else out for yourself. You bought my first tennis bracelet. That's the kind of guy you were. You've always had a generous heart. I will always remember your big smile, bold laugh and big heart. Rest easy my friend.

I remember me and my friend Toshi met him at the eastside club he was on the dance floor then he went straight to the bar n bought more for him n his friends just as my friend toshi n I walked by n he yelled aye call my phone let me get the number we rehearsed the number all the way to the car that morning after the club n called but he travelled so deep we were scared to move forward but he always spoke when he saw us again
