Raymond Shreckengost Obituary
RAYMOND C. SHRECKENGOST Colonel USMC (R)
On October 29, 2011 after a long series of illnesses. Beloved husband of 31 years of Sheryl P. Shreckengost, loving father of Stephanie Ward (Wayne), and Brenda Rae Marshall, grandfather of Colonel Quinn Gummel, USAF (S) (Sally Woodyard), and Lori Ward, great grandfather of Master Quinn Gummel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3 at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22046 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service with Full Military Honors will be held at Fort Myer Chapel, Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Colonel Shreckengost's name to the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, 3800 Fettler Park Drive, Ste. 104, Dumfries, VA 22025.
