Reginald Lawrence Obituary
Reginald B. Lawrence (Age 66)
Peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Educated at Alabama State University and The John Hopkins University, Mr. Lawrence retired from federal service with over 30 years of experience as a Physical Scientist with the Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS). He was known for his technical knowledge, business acumen, engaging personality, innovative thoughts, and his love of life.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda C. Lawrence; daughter, Dr. Felisha R. Lawrence of Upper Marlboro, MD; mother, Lillian Lawrence of Talladega, AL; sisters, Krista Lawrence of Greenville, SC and Karyn Fraction of Charlotte, NC and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Thomas Y. Lawrence. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ebenezer AME Church, 7707 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 am. An Endowed Scholarship, The Lawrence Family was established at Alabama State University. Individuals can make donations in Mr. Lawrence's honor at http://www.alasu.edu/giving.

Reggie was my Division Chief at SPSD/NESDIS in the 90's. He was a pleasure to work with, always smiling. My sincere condolences to the Lawrence family.

My condolences to Reggie´s immediate and extended family. I grew up with Reggie in Talladega, AL - met him when I was probably around 12 or 13; we were in band together; and we lived just several blocks apart. He was such a talented musician! He was also a wildly intelligent guy, sweet and kind, and could make anyone laugh. I had the opportunity to be in touch with Reggie off and on through the later years and I´m so very grateful for that.

May God bring peace to the Lawrence Family in this time of bereavement. Reginald and I was college roommates and fraternity brothers. My prayers are with the family. I am from Smiths Station, AL and will think of my frat whenever I travel up Hwy 280 (area).

Reggie you will truly be missed. I thank you for your support after losing my son. Your ability to make me laugh in the midst of my tears...Our family have taken some heavy hit over the last few years. I pray that God surrounds your wife and daughter during this most difficult time.
