On Sunday, December 8, 2013 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Glenda M. Chauncey and the late Peggy Chauncey; father of Margie, Richard L., Jr., Joseph Chauncey and the late Mary Ann Burton; stepfather of Brian and Kevin James; grandfather of Marie, Bob, Chuck, Matthew and Doug Burton, Amanda Caldwell, Autumn Marie, Phoenix, Gavin and Ayana James; brother of Lou Chauncey. Relatives and friends may call at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Wednesday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The loss of a love one is very devastating, at sometimes we don't know where to turn, Thankful we are to God, we can reach out to him in prayer, please read Psalms 65:2, it tell us that all sorts will go to the “Hearer of prayer”.

Glenda et al., I just want to say my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Glenda, I know you were a tireless caregiver and supportive wife. I know that you have many wonderful memories of Richard, and I hope you will find them a comfort in your grief. I have many fond memories of sodality trips and talks after Saturday a.m. Mass.
