Richard Grant Corbett "Dick" (Age 92)

Richard Grant Corbett of Gainesville,Virginia passed away on May 5th, 2023 with family by his side. Dick was born in Plainfield, NJ on May 6th, 1930, the son of Clifton and Vira Corbett.



Dick graduated from Carlton College in 1953 and joined the Air Force achieving the rank of Captain through his active and reserve duty. Dick was employed as a systems engineer for 30 years, 26 of them with Unisys.



Dick married Margaret Carpenter in 1996. They moved from Fairfax Station, VA to Gainesville, VA in 2004 where they were actively involved in their community (Heritage Hunt).



Dick was predeceased by his parents Clifton & Vira Corbett, his sister Frances Corbett and his brother Clifton Corbett. Dick is survived by his wife Margaret, and his three children Solvey (Mike), Richard (Veronica), and Joann (Jim) from his first marriage to Carol Meyer. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.



A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
