TIGANI RITA TIGANI On Saturday, June 21, 2008, RITA GIULIANI TIGANI of Bethesda, MD. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Pasquale Tigani; beloved mother of sons, Dr. Michael (Dana), Dr. Robert (Tricia), Dr. Stephen (Kathy) Tigani; and daughter, Dr. Marie (Dennis) Stiles. Also survived by 13 loving grandchildren, other relatives and many cherished friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, INC., 5130 Wisconsin Ave N.W. (Corner of Harrison St.) Washington, DC on Thursday, June 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda, MD on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 12 noon. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Little Flower.

Dear Tigani Family:
As a long-time patient of both Robert Tigani and Steve Tigani, I feel as though I have gotten to know both of their parents through the two of them. I have the highest possible regard for Drs. Tigani -- both professionally and personally -- and their love for family is obviously immense.
I will smile all the more each time I see the marvelous collages that Rita Tigani created -- with such obvious love -- knowing that she is once again reunited with her beloved husband. But she stayed here long enough to set a first-rate legacy for her children and grandchildren. The world is such a better place with the Tiganis in our midst.

My heart aches for all of you with the loss of your mother. Rita was a member of the infamous "Lunch Bunch" ladies. I enjoyed hearing the stories each month after all our mothers got together. I'm sorry I am unable to attend the service for her. With love to each of you,
