ROBERT BECKERLE Obituary


Robert E. Beckerle  
Of Potomac, MD passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Genie Beckerle for 56 years; devoted father of Larry (Denise), Laura and David (Kate) Beckerle; dear brother of Jerry Beckerle and Janet Gallagher, loving grandfather of Sean, Mark and Brian Beckerle and Haley, Kelly and Ryan Souza. Born in Evansville, IN in 1937, Bob was a proud graduate of Reitz Memorial High School, the University of Notre Dame (BSEE) and Purdue University (MBA). Before retiring, he was the successful business owner/operator of Commercial Air, Inc. Sports played a major role in Bob's life. He enjoyed participating in organized tennis, basketball, and softball and was the ever-optimistic fan of his beloved Fighting Irish and Washington Nationals.Friends will be received at PUMPHREY'S FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. Rockville MD on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 1513 Dunster Rd., Rockville, MD on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in All Souls Cemetery, Germantown.
