I know it's months late, but I just heard of Bob's passing. I'm deeply saddened by the loss of a great friend and mentor. We served together in the 270th Signal Co. at Ft. Ord and my wife Ann and I became good friends and enjoyed many times with Bob and Elyse and their very young boys in Carmel. Much later, we served together in Vietnam (1st Sig Bde). If anyone knows how I can get in touch with Brian or Patrick, please contact me at [email protected], as I would very much like to share some memories with them.

LTG Donahue's positive impact on so many of us cannot be overstated. Many years after leaving NATO, he was still remembered for the leadership and energy he provided in advancing the C4ISR capabilities in NATO. Great family that will continue to represent his service to the nation.

I will always remember Bob as a great guy with a lot of class and a sense of humor. I enjoyed working with him at EDS and respected him for his leadership skills and the way that he exhibited his care for everyone regardless of their job. I had the opportunity to participate in a NATO committee and spend some time at NATO in Brussels. Bob was remembered there as someone who knew and cared everyone including the maintenance workers as well the senior leadership.

General Donahue was one of a kind--a mentor, a leader and a soldier who inspired others to be the best they could be. He always had the twinkle in his eye and the wonderful sense of humor. Truly a life well lived. God bless him and his family.

. LTG Donahue set a great example of loyalty to our Corps. His contributions and commitment to our Regiment and our Association were truly long standing, exceptionally significant and unparalleled. We should celebrate his life as a life well lived. It was my honor to have served with him for many years on the Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA) board of directors.
