Robert J. Dube of Potomac, Maryland and Treasure Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2013. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Nancy Dube, in 2011. Robert, known to most as Bob, enjoyed a lifelong passion for cultural enrichment and scientific knowledge, visiting 60 countries and all seven continents with Nancy. His interests spanned from Kennedy Center performing arts to Washington Redskins football, and from water-skiing in Western Maryland to exploring the plains of Africa.Born 1938 in Lewiston, Maine to Joseph and Muriel Dube, Bob earned his BS in Physics from Bates College, and a MS in Physics from the University of Delaware. He spent 33 years with the Atomic Energy Commission, Federal Energy Administration, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission, retiring in 1996. Bob is lovingly remembered by many, including longtime friend Michael Gosselin of Oakland, Maine; brother-in-law Bill Stoner and sister-in-law Karla Stoner of Urbana, Maryland; sister-in-law Susan Luce of Braddock Heights, Maryland; sister-in-law Cinda Stoner of Boston, Massachusetts; sister-in-law Jeanie Crawford of Middletown, Maryland; sister-in-law Julie Fish and brother-in-law Ralph Fish of Frederick, Maryland; niece Lisa Caponiti of Gainesville, Florida; nephew Michael Luce of Braddock Heights, Maryland; and niece Emily DelRegno of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Funeral arrangements are private, in accordance with Bob's wishes.
