My sister and I were charter patients in 1969. I got allergy shots once a week for 5 years. He was the best doctor I ever had and was our kids pediatrician from 1996 until he retired. He was very devoted and never hesitated to open his office in an emergency! Rest in peace!

From the comments of others who knew him, Dr Kwok definitely seemed like a wonderful man, a loving father, a caring pediatrician and a brilliant scientific mind. I hope someday his story gets told, so that his legacy could inspire others and the Asian American community could respect and celebrate him for who he truly was - a pioneering Asian American scientist. May he rest in peace.

I think the Doctor was a relative to my husband's grandfather, Wiiliam Tsah-Ming Kwouk. I would like to learn more about the doctor's family. I have a letter from Robert H.M. Kowk. M.D. that my mother-in-law kept.

My father considered his patients as if they were his own. He kept all their photos, graduation announcements, Christmas cards, bar and bat mitzvah invites, etc. He loved hearing about their accomplishments. He was a wonderful doctor, musician, father and was one of a kind. I will miss him dearly.

Dr.Kwok, wonderful Dr., wonderful man. My son had an allergic reaction to getting on a horse, he starred swelling up, itching, coughing and if it weren't for Dr. Kwok I might have lost him. He met me at the office late at night so we didn't have to go to the emergency room. He really cared about his little patients. He went above and beyond as a doctor that cared, he helped me with my children in so many ways and he knew everything about them. It was a sad day when they were to old to go to him anymore. He even helped me, I was sick and he got me into a doctor at John Hopkins within a day. I ran into him long after he had retired and he still remembered me and both of my kids names. Wish we had more Dr. Kwok's still in practice...

Dr. Kwok was my daughter's pediatrician after she was born in November 1973, when we lived in Bowie, Md. I was a very anxious new mother and called Dr. Kwok on many occasions, sometimes very early in the morning. He was always patient with me, and very reassuring. He helped me to realize I could make a decision that would not be "wrong" or hurt my baby. His advice was always very much appreciated. So sorry for your loss.

Your father was a very good man, and is charished by our family. He was always there to help us when the children were sick. He went beyond what others doctors would do to help. He will be greatly missed. God Bless. He was one of a kind.
