PETERSEN ROBERT CARL PETERSEN (Age 77) Succumbed to acute myeloid leukemia and joined his Viking ancestors early Friday morning, December 12, 2008, at home surrounded by loved ones, including his long-time companion, Paddy Shannon Cook; ex-wife, Anne Oriel Petersen; son, David J. Petersen, his wife, Phoebe Daroyanni; daughter, Karen Anne Petersen, her partner, Christopher Barnes; nephew, Lyle R. Petersen, and brother, Harold Petersen. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Amelia and Luke Sheesley, of Rye, New Hampshire and other dear relatives. He will also be mised by his two cats, Slava and Ginger. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Any remembrances should honor one of Bob‘s widespread interests in opera or symphonic music, the environment, the hungry and oppressed all over the world, population control, photography, astronomy, or birding. Bob also founded and fostered the Viking Anti-Defamation Society to venerate his heritage. cookpet@verizon.net
