ROBERT LEON PHELPS
On Saturday, August 26, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. Taylor Phelps; loving father of Thomas R. Phelps; devoted companion of Jani Pepperman; brother of Margaret (Thomas) Simms; uncle of Teresa Peachey (James) and Michael Simms (Nancy). Also survived by five great-nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Tuesday, August 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. and at St. John the Evangelist Church, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, August 30 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
