Cookie,

I know you have gone up a yonder to be with our LORD! I will forever miss you. REST IN PEACE MY DEAR PRECIOUS FRIEND! My prayers are with the family.

January 16, 2016

After more than 30 years of silence, thanks to the internet I reconnected with my former next-door neighbor and childhood friend, Cookie. This past October we were suppose to meet up with each other and as always, time flew and we were not able to have that visit. I was convinced that we would hook up the next time I'm in DC. We will never have that next time. I am sad. My condolences and deepest sympathies go out to her husband, sons and grandchildren and all who still live on Perry Street. To Cookies Family, My Condolences, I am so Sorry for Your Lost.
Cookie, Our friendship, even though we did not talk everyday, when we did it did not seem that it had been that long since our last conversation. We picked up where left off. I will miss you, the saying of gone to soon really fits you. You are a remarkable Woman, very strong, a good friend. When I needed you, you were always there. I would have, I wish that I was there for you in your time of need. RIP Cookie. You're at peace now, no more worries, no more pain, Rest My Friend. Always much Love. Toots

My heart and prayers go out the Galloway family. Rochelle commended the room. She was strong, confident and extremely fumny. She taught me a lot over the past 3 years. I will forever walk in my truth because of her. I will surely miss her. I find peace knowing she's at rest with God.

I was so surprised to hear that Cookie passed. We were classmates at Taft and McKinley...maybe even John Burroughs, but I don't remember. She was a good friend throughout our school years. I pray the Lord will give her family peace and strength as they grieve.

My prayers go out to Cookie's family and friends. My family lived in the house next to Cookie's grandmother - Mrs. Honeycutt. Cookie and I reconnected about two years ago. She had not changed much through the years. She earned her wings and will be truly missed. R.I.P. Cookie
