RONA M. (KATZ) FIELDS, PhD.
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, Dr. RONA M. FIELDS of Washington, DC. She is survived by three generations of children and former patients who experienced her deep insights and care, as well as three of her own children and their spouses, Marc (Nancy Spencer), Sean and Miriam (Michael Babineau); grandchildren, Lauren FIelds, Brendan Kyle Babineau, Skyler Fields and Summer Fields. Funeral service will be held at Tifereth Israel Congregation, 7701 16th St., NW, Washington, DC on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment in Chicago, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood. Arrangements by HINES-RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, INC., under Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

Dr. Rona Fields was a great writer and activist. She helped much during the Mexican American Civil Rights Era. She also was a great supporter of the Brown Berets. She will be remembered. I only realized that she was gone RIP

Dr. Fields was absolutely instrumental in helping my daughter get extra time for her LSAT, law school, and, ultimately, the bar exam. We are saddened by this loss. Dr. Fields was larger than life and quite an amazing woman. Rest in peace and eternal thanks.

I am so very sorry to hear about Rona. I have known her for many years, and was greatly impressed by her professional work, in Northern Ireland and elsewhere. She was a pioneer in her field, and dedicated to the pursuit of human rights. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I have known Rona for many years. She was a wonderful advocate for women's rights. I read many of her books and used several for my classes at MC in Rockville. Rona was a woman of many strengths;despite bouts of cancer, numerous accidents and poor vision, these did not stop Rona for whatever she wanted to accomplish. I always wanted to write a bio on the incredible woman. RIP Rona, I will miss you
