Col., USAF (Ret.), of Alexandria, VA, on November 17, 2004. Beloved husband of Ellen W. Prater; loving father of Richard E. Prater of Tuscan, AZ, Elizabeth P. Oligmueller of Greeley, CO and Ronald C. Prater of Alexandria. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacqulyn, Jon, Andrew, Alyssa, Steven, Wilson, Jackson, Benson, Suzanne and Eric. A Funeral service will be held at the Columbarium on Friday, January 28, 2005, 11 a.m. at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, Grinnell College, Grinnell, IA, or Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Rd., Alexandria, VA 22308.
