Ruth Sager Obituary
May 20, 1943 – November 8, 2025
Ruth Ann "Ann" Sager, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 8, 2025, just before 7 a.m. She was 82 years old.
Born on May 20, 1943, Ruth Ann lived a life filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion. A faithful servant of God, Ann cherished her Catholic faith and prayed the Rosary every day. Her unwavering belief gave her strength and peace throughout life's challenges, and she found deep joy in serving others and living her faith through action.
Ann delighted in caring for her home and garden, surrounding herself with the beauty of plants and nature. She enjoyed time with friends, staying active, and volunteering whenever possible. She believed in rolling up her sleeves and working hard for anything worth having in life — a philosophy she lived by every day.
She loved her work as an administrative assistant at AIA, where her dedication, kindness, and cheerful spirit touched the lives of many. After retirement, Ann continued giving back by volunteering at the Bethesda Women's Co-Op second hand store and driving those in need, always ready to lend a helping hand with compassion and grace.
Though small in stature, Ann possessed a tremendous spirit — wise, funny, loving, and full of life. She was a devoted wife and mother who would do anything for her family, and her grandchildren, Marley and Noah, were the light of her world.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Kenny; her loving daughter, Jennifer; and her two cherished grandchildren, Marley and Noah. She was preceded in death by beloved family members who now welcome her home in heaven.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing and visitation on Wednesday, November 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Bethesda, Maryland. A second viewing will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 2 p.m., followed by a Catholic Mass at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Bethesda, Maryland.
She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her and will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with God the Almighty Father and her loved ones in heaven.
