CRAIG Father SAMUEL LeCOUNT CRAIG On Thursday, December 31, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Survived by one brother, Morris (Evelyn) Craig; two sisters, Florence Myers and Evelyn Craig; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Viewing will be held on Wednesday January 6, 2010 from 3 p.m. until time of vigil 7 p.m. Also on Thursday, January 7 from 9 a.m. until Mass Christian Burial 10:15 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 8603 Contee Rd. Laurel, MD 20708. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements by McGUIRE.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Craig Family as you mourn the physical passing of your beloved brother and uncle. It was my honor and privilege to serve with him in ordained ministry as Pastor of Saint Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in Southeast Washington, DC. Father Craig left an indelible mark upon all of us with his quick humor and gentle smile. While his body lies in the sleep of death, his spirit will remain forever with us. Thank you for sharing an inestimable gift with the Church. On Sunday at our 8:00 a.m. liturgy, a special remembrance of Father Craig will take place. You are warmly invited. Peace be with you always!

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Fr. Craig. He performed the wedding ceremony for us almost 25 years ago (August 3, 1985). He was a wonderful person who will be truly missed.
