Sandra Shaw

Reverend Sandra Cox Shaw, 69, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away suddenly on November 11, 2025. Born in Lexington, NC, to James and Dorothy Cox, she attended Clemson University and the University of Maryland in preparation for a career in accounting. She later studied at Gettysburg Theological Seminary and spent the years leading to her 2021 retirement as the pastor of Living Faith Lutheran Church in Rockville, MD. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judy Luciano. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Shaw, son David, daughter-in-law, Erica McKinnon; grandchildren, Kale and Alana, and sister in law, Karen Howe. A celebration of life will be held November 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Silver Spring, MD. Donations in Sandra's memory may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
