Mere words and thoughts cannot express the loss of someone as meaningful and spirited as Shanika. The news of Shanika's untimely departure has been very difficult to comprehend. I keep asking, why her, why at such a young age? The only source of comfort has been the knowledge of the promise that God has made to each and every one of us....that we shall all taste death, not in our time but in His. I pray that Shanika has found peace and solace. My condolences, prayers and love go out to the entire Lee & Raymond Families. May God and His perfect plan be your source of strength, comfort and understanding now and always.

Like any good brother would do
I tried to make you see the light
But instead of listening to me, you just had to prove you were right
You got caught up in what you thought was the glitz and glam of the street life of DC
And now look where we are Shanika, you’re gone from me
All that I said and all that I did was out of concern and love
I’m sure you know this now, looking down from up above
Life is so uncertain
It can be taken at any time
My dear little sister, what I would give to see you one last time
But I’m comforted to know that your weary soul is now at ease
because you now dwell in the Lord’s eternal garden of peace

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. Shanika was like a little sister to alot of us. She was a comedian who could lift your spirits whenever she's in your presence.
