I am so saddened to hear of Steve´s passing. Spoke to him the week before his passing. Will always value our last conversation. I know him for almost two and half decades, first working with him as former Senator Allard´s Chief-of-Staff and then on his numerous projects over the years. He was a kind, generous individual who will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Steve´s passing. He was a wonderful, generous, wise man. He always made time for people and helped so many with their careers, campaigns, and lives in general. He will be missed and there will never be another Steve Gordon. One-of-a-kind.

It was my great pleasure to have FIRST met Steve at a luncheon at the Capital Grille~ where he regularly "held court," and had a reserved table. He was seated adjacent to the table where I was sitting. He came up to me and kindly introduced himself and then politely asked if he could join me and my luncheon companion as he knew her well.

Well ~ it was Divine Intervention!

A warm and wonderful friendship developed between us. He later subsequently invited me to tour his boutique lobbying office in Washington, DC.

The rest is a story of what occasionally happens along the Potomac River- Steve hired me as a Partner for his public affairs firm, aptly named:
Total Spectrum.

Thus, he gave me a unique opportunity to connect my work experiences from state and federal government, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector in a particular way. And it´s now what I do everyday as a Consultant specializing in communications and public relations.

Steve was an excellent mentor and his creative genius was always on display; but with humor, humility and honesty. He left a great impression on many people who crossed paths with him. His insights and vast knowledge about the psyche of reputational awareness and perception are key components of his legacy in Washington and especially those elements regarding image and retail politics.

May Bonnie and his family hold dear their own cherished loving memories. Also, may the entire Gordon family take pride also in how Steve helped so many people advance their careers "soaking in" his wisdom and understanding of people personally and professionally.

Steve gave my sister the start to her DC career. The actions of a person defines them, not words. Grateful she had chance to grow under his wisdom and guidance on how the game is played. My heart goes out to Bonnie and the family. Rest in peace Steve.
