Su Biderman was sui generis. She was the most direct woman (I mean that in a good way) to have ever crossed my path.

I always enjoyed speaking with her and her good friend and ally Kika Silva Pla who is also a very dear friend of mine.

Over the years Su gave me a few gems of wisdom and on more than one occasion she deflated my occasionally large ego.

She once told me, "Bartelloni, I remember when you were slim."

Thanks, Su, for being the great woman you were.

I know my mother Kika Pla will be very sad to hear about her close democratic friend Su. She will be missed and our deepest condolenses to her family.

It is hard to imagine Democratic Party politics in Fairfax County without Su Biderman. For 11 years she was the volunteer leader/administrator of the Fairax County Party offices in Loehmann's Plaza. Smart, well-organized, a bit acerbic, but always humorous and friendly, she will be keenly missed by many, many friends and admirers, especially Democratic politicians and elected offiicials. We are all in her debt, and thank her family for sharing her with us. Jim Scott
