On December 28, 2005 in McLean, VA. She was married for 67 years to the late Robert K. Bole. A former resident of Bethesda, MD and Pittsfield, MA, she had lived since 1972 in Sarasota, FL. She graduated from the New Jersey College for Women (now the Douglass College of Rutgers University) and did graduate study at the New York School of Social Work. On her marriage in 1935, she moved to Washington, DC. She is survived by her sister, Laura Cornell of Hudson, NY; daughters, Virginia McEwen of McLean, VA, Dianna Hassett of Durango, CO and Roberta McCarthy of Greenbelt, MD. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, FL and PEO. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 31 at Little Falls Presbyterian Church, 6025 Little Falls Rd., Arlington, VA 22207. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Capital Hospice.
